Historic Wood Peppermill

Historic Wood Peppermill

These finely turned peppermills were created by Doug Dill, master woodturner from Lanexa, Virginia. Wood for the peppermills were sourced from a white oak tree planted at Mount Vernon circa 1783. Fully functional for grinding pepper in the kitchen, or simply to display and add history to your home.

The 4 ½" tall metal grinding mechanism has a sliding door to insert pepper corns.  It is fastened to the top of the 5" handmade shaft by secure screws; overall height is just under 9". The artisan's name and the source of the wood are uniquely engraved on the underside of the mill.

Because each peppermill is individually made, the grain, texture, and turning style the artist makes will vary.  Please expect variances from the photos.
